Last updated: February 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kord ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Kord is a version control and file comparison platform for hardware engineers. The Service allows you to upload files, compare versions, collaborate with team members via shared folders, and integrate with cloud storage providers such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint.
3. Accounts
You must sign in with a Google or Microsoft account to use authenticated features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all files and content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
You agree not to upload content that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malicious code or malware
- Is otherwise harmful or objectionable
5. Folder Collaboration
When you create a folder and invite collaborators, you control access through role-based permissions (owner, admin, contributor, viewer). You are responsible for managing who has access to your folders and files. Members you invite will be able to access shared content according to their assigned role.
6. Cloud Storage Integration
The Service may connect to your Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive/SharePoint account with your explicit consent. We only access folders and files you choose to link. You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the provider in Settings.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service to store or transmit content that exceeds reasonable usage limits
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Pipedreamer Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pipedreamer Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
